RESIDENCE LW – A RESTORED FARMSTEAD

– A reinterpreted para-agricultural ensemble for modern living.  –

This project reinterprets the traditional farmstead as a composed and contemporary living environment. The ensemble brings together a 1,000 m³ single-family residence, a detached outbuilding with a swimming pool concealed behind enclosing garden walls, and three auxiliary volumes dedicated to horse husbandry.

The layout is conceived as a coherent whole, where each building defines courtyards, views and clear spatial hierarchies. An outdoor riding area and horse walker are integrated within the overall composition, ensuring functional clarity and a balanced relationship between living and para-agricultural use.

Reclaimed materials are applied throughout to anchor the project within its context, combined with a high level of detailing and precise proportions. Rather than a literal restoration, the project offers a clear and contemporary interpretation of the farmstead—adapted to modern living while respecting its rural character.
