RESIDENCE KM – A HOUSE IN THE LANDSCAPE

This house is set within an open rural landscape, surrounded by fields and long views. It is composed as two volumes, placed side by side, each with its own identity yet forming a balanced whole.

The architecture draws on familiar rural forms. Steep roofs, solid brickwork and carefully positioned openings give the house a quiet, timeless presence. Subtle differences in material and tone bring depth to the composition, without disturbing its calm unity. Reclaimed materials are used throughout, introducing texture and a gentle sense of age. Their presence anchors the house in its setting, as if it has always belonged there. Beneath this composed exterior, the load-bearing structure is made entirely of CLT.

Inside, the rooms are arranged to frame views of the landscape and to bring in natural light throughout the day. The result is a house that feels settled and enduring — a place defined by clarity, quietness, and a close relationship to its surroundings.
